There is a vast range of websites and resources available to help you manage your weight.  Below are just a few of the local and national projects and their websites which can provide further support:-

Local Support

  • Health Promotion Service - links to a range of project which contribute to the Health and Wellbeing of the population of Cornwall and Isles of Scilly and a free resources library available to anyone living in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
  • Health Promotion Resource Library - provides useful leaflets and resources to support weight management.
  • Eatsome - Healthy Weight Programme Cornwall-based NHS healthy eating project with information, recipes and interactive cooking sessions. Also information on childhood weight management programmes including Keep it in the Family and Live4Life
  • LEAPActive - Healthy Weight Programme provides information on becoming more physcally active in daily life and runs guided walks and cycle rides through Mobilise.
  • Parents Support - This is being offered for parents in schools in Cornwall as part of the FIT programme offered through the Cornwall Healthy Schools Programme.
  • Health Trainer Support - Provide one-to-one, non clinical support, in areas of poverty, to individuals who want to make positive changes to thier lives.

National Support 

  • Change4Life -  has loads of healthy eating tips and recipes, and fun ways to exercise to help you and your kids eat well and move more.
  • Eatwell - provides information from the Food Standards Agency on eating well and food labelling.
  • British Heart Foundation - provides top tips for healthy eating staying active ... Being active provides long term benefits for your heart health and general wellbeing.
  • Your Health Your Choices - we have linked our site with NHS Choices Live Well this provides a range of information on how to manage your weight and provides a range of additional resources.
